Meet the Owner

Laura G. Afoa, GBA

A San Francisco Bay Area native with more than 35 years in the insurance industry, with 20 years spent on the brokerage side specializing in group benefits.


Laura established Afoa Insurance in 2010 to provide hands-on services to clients & has been running ever since! She prides herself on her firsthand approach and truly cares about her client partners.


"We take care of our clients as we do our own family" is one of her motto's which has proven her to be successful.


Laura has recently earned her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation from the WHARTON SCHOOL OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA while continuing to pursue her Certified Employee Benefits Specialists (CEBS) designation.


Developing trusting relationships has been her key to success followed up with a consistent & dependable work habit.


She's a wife of 23 years with 3 children and 1 grandchild.


Laura spends some of her time outside of work sponsoring and participating in women's & co-ed softball leagues.
